Ilona’s interest in accounting began when she was studying for her A levels where her most enjoyable subjects were Maths and Business Studies. She decided to combine the two and so attained a degree in Accounting at Cardiff University.
Having joined Houghton Stone as a graduate in July 2007 Ilona worked in the Audit and Accounts department for four years gaining valuable experience in auditing and accounting compliance. She completed her training contract and ACA qualification in 2010 and is a proud member of the ICAEW.
Ilona currently manages the business services team where she is responsible for providing clients with statutory accounts, quarterly and monthly management accounts, VAT returns, bookkeeping services, systems training and systems advice. She works closely with the tax department in order to ensure information is provided between departments as efficiently as possible in order to provide clients with a quick and accurate information and advice.
In order to provide a high quality of service Ilona will often visit clients at their premises. This enables her to gain a comprehensive understanding of their operations thus allowing her to recommend the best and most appropriate solutions to improving a business’s accounting systems.
Ilona is extremely dedicated and strives to ensure clients receive fast, accurate and helpful information. This, along with her friendly and approachable nature has enabled her to build strong working relationships with all her clients.
